Join us for the fight against breast cancer at the Sista Strut Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, October 2 at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park.
Majic 104.9 & Hallelujah 1600 recognizes October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the creation of Sista Strut. This awareness rally and 3K walk will heighten awareness about the issues of breast cancer in the African-American community, as well as provide resources available to the community. Sista Strut will feature celebrities, performances and motivation!
Proceeds from the 1st Annual Sista Strut will be provided to The Breakfast Club, Inc., an African American breast cancer support group founded in 1997, The Black Women Breast Cancer Survivors Project, a community-based project that conducts Afrocentric programming and research guided by black women breast cancer survivors at UMSL and Siteman Cancer Center.
Pre-registration: $12 (Pre-registration Ends Friday, September 24th)
On-Site Registration: $17 (no cash accepted; credit cards only)

Beans can help reduce risk of breast cancer. Try eating more meatless meals each week.
Whole Grains are rich in fiber and help reduce risk of colorectal cancer.
Sweet Potatoes are rich in antioxidants which hlp prevent damage to cell membranes which can lead to cancer.
Grapes contain resveratrol which has been shown to slow the growth of cancer cells.
